Supporting Creative Photography and Small Business Skills – As a Cairns Based Support Worker
Hi, it’s Nicolette here. I wanted to share a recent project I’ve been working on with one of my clients, who is a talented photographer with a beautiful eye for detail.
Together, we’ve been working on printing a collection of his photographs using my in-studio printer. The final works were displayed at the front of my studio in Gordonvale and are available for purchase. It’s been a great way for him to share his creativity with the local community and explore what it might look like to turn his passion into a small business.
We also worked together to create branding for his photography, including designing a logo and business cards using Adobe Illustrator. Alongside this, we learned how to create mock-ups in Photoshop to showcase his prints in digital settings, helping him promote his work online in a professional and engaging way.
This project has combined creativity with hands-on skill-building. From printing and branding to promotional tools, it’s been a rewarding journey that has given my client more independence, confidence, and a platform to share his work.
All of the photos, concepts, and ideas are his. I’ve just supported the process by offering guidance, tools, and the space to bring everything together.
If you're interested in his photography or would like to be connected with him, feel free to reach out and I’ll pass on the details.
I run creative support sessions from my studio in Gordonvale, just outside Cairns, where I work with NDIS participants to explore art, design, digital skills, and creative business ideas. If this sounds like something you or someone you support might benefit from, you can contact me at
